Upcoming Release

"In Victoria is an upcoming debut EP from Wrasse, which explores the parallels between the Victorian Era and modern Britain. By using the archaic vernacular of the 1830s to reframe contemporary crises like food banks and the housing market, Wrasse creates a cinematic lens for processing modern social trauma. The project is defined by a “Gothic Industrial” aesthetic: an atmospheric world of smog-filled cities, grey rain, and soot-stained melancholy. Moving away from polished rock conventions, the sound is built upon a grit-heavy, experimental setup of bass guitar and high-gain amplification to produce a mechanical, abrasive soundscape.
